Emergency Minimum Day Procedures

Emergency Minimum Days will be announced in the same manners as procedures for Closing of Schools, Delayed Openings and Early Dismissals. Every effort will be made to call Emergency Minimum Days the night before or very early the morning of anticipated emergency conditions.

On emergency Minimum Days students will attend school as follows:

Kindergarten (A.M.) 8:45 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.
Grades 1-5 8:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Unlike Early Dismissal where parents/guardians may request (via the Emergency Card) to have their child kept at school until the regular dismissal, WHEN AN EMERGENCY MINIMUM DAY IS CALLED ALL CHILDREN WILL BE DISMISSED AT THE TIMES NOTED ABOVE.

Lunches will not be provided on Minimum Days. Elementary students may bring snacks in keeping with their school snack policy.

Bus companies will be notified when EMERGENCY MINIMUM DAYS are called. They will rearrange schedules to transport students who receive school-sponsored transportation.
